Located on Grunwaldzka Street in Gdansk, the Wave office building has received an important certificate that evaluates the environmental performance of buildings.
The Wave office building in Gdansk has received the prestigious LEED Core&Shell certification at the Platinum level. The LEED system was created by the independent U.S. Green Building Council and evaluates the environmental impact of buildings. The certification looks at, among other things, energy savings, reduction of water consumption or carbon dioxide emissions.
The Wave investment managed to achieve certification at this level thanks to the use of a number of green solutions. The office building uses electricity from renewable energy sources, mainly hydroelectric power plants. On the Grunwaldzka Avenue side, Wave has an anti-smog walkway made of green concrete. In addition, the building uses more than 30 percent less electricity, and water savings can exceed 40 percent. Wave has also been designed in accordance with WELL certification guidelines, which assesses the impact of space on the health and well-being of employees.
Located on Grunwaldzka Street, the Wave office building offers about 24,800 sqm of leasable space. The building was designed by the medusa group studio.
