Nova Silesia development postponed until next year

A project to be built on the site of the now-demolished Silesia Hotel in Katowice is being delayed. The investor cites 2022 as the date for the start of construction work on the Nova Silesia office building.

Construction of the Nova Silesia office and hotel complex was expected to begin as early as this year. However, the development of the plot after the now-demolished Hotel Silesia has been delayed. The investor expects to start construction work on the new building in 2022. The architectural design of the complex came out of the APA Wojciechowski Architekci studio.

Nova Silesia is a complex of two office buildings, reaching 14 floors above ground, and a hotel with 7 floors. The office buildings will provide a total of more than 30,000 sqm of space to the local market. The building will also have an underground garage hall and a public green plaza for recreation for both employees of the Nova Silesia office buildings and residents of Katowice. In addition, a pedestrian walkway will be available for everyone to use. The building has been awarded WELL and LEED certifications.
